I'm sure most of you must have heard about Bitcoin first and then Blockchain and thought it is apparently the same thing.

But let me tell you --> It is not πŸ₯²

Blockchain is the technology behind Bitcoin. Blockchain is to Bitcoin as Internet is to Email..

You get it? πŸ™„

Let me help you more to understand Blockchain!!

Blockchain in simple terms is a chain of blocks.

This block stores the transactions, example, exchange of cryptocurrencies. Each block has a limit, so once that limit is reached it is linked to the previous block in the chain.

So how does this actually work ?? Why people in the world say it is Immutable & Distributed Ledger?? # 😢 πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ

(Burning Questions πŸ”₯)

Consider, I am transferring some bitcoins (cryptos in general) to my mother. Now this transaction will be verified and added to the block with other transactions.

This block is then sent to validators/ miners in the network who solve a complex mathematical operation to validate the block. Once this is solved the block is then added to the blockchain. Now the block is assigned a unique key (don't worry, this isn't your private or public key) which is obtained using previous block's key and information.

Now you see, whenever each block is added and a key is assigned to the block, it actually uses the information of previous block. That means all the future block depends on the information from the prior blocks.

Hence it becomes practically impossible to tamper data in any block.

And thus, Blockchain is known as Immutable and Distributed Ledger.
